Just out: the "Everything Lasts Forever And Nothing Ever Dies: a compendium of Drone in all it's guises", organized by Difficult Art and Music, is available now on Bandcamp. It is a VERY small run with a physical release that includes an art print booklet, it looks gorgeous, and it includes a recording and the score for 2100 by Vilhelm Brømander and I. Get your copy fast, I bet it'll be sold out soon!
I am really chuffed to share that starting Dec 1st 2021 my new composition Juntos/as/xs/es will be available as a commission for the 11th edition of the festival Novas Frequências. Curated by Chico Dub, the festival enters its 11th year as the most important experimental music and sound art event in Brazil. For the festival, I developed a composition and a VERY open graphic score named Juntos/as/xs/es, for 16 musicians. You can check it out here.
I am really happy to have contributed with a track for the compilation Save The Children on the German label Aquietroom. All proceeds go to funding children support initiatives in Afghanistan. Grab your copy now: https://aquietroom.bandcamp.com/album/save-the-children
Next Thursday, Sep 30th, I will be playing a solo set as well as sharing the stage with wonderful fellow Brazilian composers/performers/sound artists Manuel Pessoa de Lima and Mariana Carvalho. Prepare for a wild night at Petersburg Art Space (Kaiserin-Augusta-Allee 101, 10553 Berlin), starting at 8 pm.
"Estudando o som" (studying sound -- Portuguese only, sorry) is a compendium organized by curator and artistic director Chico Dub that gathers selected essays on Brazilian experimental music and sound art, concentrating on the last 10 years. I am glad I was invited to contribute a bit of writing, along with a bunch of the finest Brazilian thinkers and researchers working on and around sound. Out now on publisher Numa (320 pages).
The book is available at Amazon Brazil.
I am really happy to be working again this year with the Eufonia Festival, this time in Lisbon!
I'm glad to announce that my one of the pieces of the series Hino à União will be shown (in stereo format) at Resonance FM, at Gwaith Sŵn's Sonic Darts, Feb 3rd 2020, 10 pm UTC.
On 18.01 I'll be showing a new installation, A Sea of Acid, created for the group exhibition Ubiquitous, part of Transmediale Vorspiel 2020. More info here or on Facebook.
Looking forward to the Eufonia Festival in Berlin! I'll be present in two ways: I will present the installative performance Homeopathic Music with 1-dimensional Visuals on November 3rd and participate in a talk with Grischa Lichtenberger, Doron Sadja and others.
