This Monday, 16/01, a set of short pieces based on the brazilian national anthem will be aired during the RádioArte program in MEC-FM, the only radio program currently dedicated to sound and radio art in Brazil that I know. Tune in!

This just in: my video Quando was among the selected artworks for the group exhibit Quero te encontrar at La Maudite, 61 rue Rébéval, 75019 Paris. The exhibit starts 8/jul and stays until 31/aug, when I'll be in town. On se voit là-bas!
Cemitério do Peixe (or The Fish's Cemetery), is the name of a rural setting in which the art occupation Cemitério do Peixe - Morte e Magia nas Artes Visuais is going to take place. This small but magical place in Conceição do Mato Dentro, Minas Gerais, will be occupied by quite a few selected artistic projects between 4-7 june, and my video Requiem is among the selected works.
I was delighted to receive this news: two of my works (You Should Be Dancing and Together) have been selected and will be presented at In-Sonora in Madrid (March 2016) -- probably the most important sound art festival in Spain nowadays. I was also glad that I found out that my mexican friend Ana Paula Santana is among selected artists as well. See you there!
I'll be presenting the performance You Should Be Dancing, this time with a very talented brazilian dancer named Fabiano Nunes, at Ocupação Arte Sonora, in Rio de Janeiro. This event, promoted by the good friends and sound artists Franz Manata and Saulo Laudares, has been hosting lots of interesting works, performances and loose residencies at Castelinho do Flamengo, including Vivian Caccuri, Leandra Lambert, Savio de Queiroz, J-P Caron and many others. This is the first time this piece is presented outside of Barcelona!
Just happened to know that my video Quando was select as one of the works in Mostra Bienal Caixa de Novos Artistas. It will be touring six cities (Brasília, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and São Paulo) across Brazil for the next two years. Whoohoo!
That's pretty old news, but only now I stumbled upon this critique of Sound Art by curator Sonia Fernandez Pan addressing a group exhibit I participated on. You Should Be Dancing is one of the works mentioned.
I'm really happy that my video 1354 prepared DC motors with steel wool on axis tip, cardboard boxes will be part of the sound art section of the Mixtur Festival, in Fabra i Coats in Barcelona. The festival starts on April 24th, and will include other works by fellow artists and composers, as well as an exhibition about Karlheinz Stockhausen.
The collective show Perder El Norte, which included a performance I did, received a review on the contemporary art magazine Interartive. Check it out!
